Let's get right to it: The Burden is the sophomore album by Infiltration Lab and is distributed online by noisybox.net. This harsh composition is the follow-up to Infiltration Lab's 2003 release ioctl(). The sound? Dark drones, sickened noise, and morbid chants, sometimes accompanied by little sounds and sequenced beeps. The message, if there really is one? Recurring themes appear in life via burdens. Using state-of-the-art photocopying and glue technology, a hand-crafted set of 25 CDRs was...

Liar's Rail (in two parts) is a dark, brooding field recording captured in downtown Portland, OR on October 26th, 2005. Both pieces were recorded in one take and contain no post-recording overdubs or mastered effects. The process: A long steel reverberating railing was contact miked with a piezo element. The railing was subsequently stimulated with human fists, metal file, and power drill. For recording, the audio signal was fed into the microphone input of a laptop computer, where it was...

Solid black CDRs with hand-printed, cut, folded, and numbered sleeves on recycled paper. Limited edition of 97. Beneath the damp, placid landscaping lies a sleeping monster. The three shaman conjurers summon a great beast. He is risen in the 3rd month and walks for just one night. After his wake remains the scar. We acknowledge the genuine value of blood, of family, of traditional bonds that span the years as though epic. Oh...dear...solitude, my companion! All sounds originated with cassette...

Atu XV - by Infiltration Lab Release date: September 11th, 2006 Running time: 00:19:03 Three-inch CDRs in mini jewel-cases with full color insert. Limited edition of 50. Atu XV was recorded on June 6th, 2006 and assembled in the weeks following. The recording was performed as a recognition of a culturally significant date (6/6/6), often mired in stigma. The tone is one of fire and synthetic flame, static and noise pulled forcibly from damaged electronics. It is a bleak and dull surrender, it is...

The virtually unlistenable debut album by Infiltration Lab. Nearly 40 manic minutes of unforgiving noise, fucked-up toys, samples, and general nonsense. A collection of incoherent and abrasive sounds was recorded and mastered in two measly days...it's a first attempt album...and it probably shows. From the sleeve notes: recorded in haste on 6/6/3 and 6/7/3 in the infiltration lab lo-fi home studio. all sounds (de)constructed, mangled, and arranged by jason plumb / infiltration lab. keyboard,...

Infiltration Lab played a live set on KBOO FM in Portland, OR on February 1st, 2010. This is the recording of that live studio session. The session was improvised on an audiopint (Linux computer running Pd) with custom Pd patches, midi controller, footswitch controller, amplified heat sink with street sweeper tines and hobby knife, and tape cassette of psychological professional conference. There is no time.
